golfing on Friday off from school-By Kaden

Today was a great day for golfing and me Dale and Eli had lots of fun. Even though we all hit terribly it was great! While golfing we always like to stop at the water station between hole #5 and 6 so we can have a water fight only to find out that they had taken the water jugs away for the winter :(
So we just kept playing. We got really lucky with our timing, the weather was perfect and around 65 degrees, two days later it snowed half a foot. After golfing, we got our traditional chips and Gatorade.
This was a great time and I shot a 56, My goal by the end of the year is to get 40 or under so I just have to keep practicing.

No School Friday means time on the Golf Course! - By Dale

Some Stats for the Day:
Weather: high 65, low 23 (last sunny day before 6" of snow overnight)
Players: Eli, Kaden, Dale
Time on course: 2 hours
Post game snacks: chips, Gatorade,
Featured in clubhouse: some older guys talking about football
Number of golf balls lost: 1
Number of golf balls found: 2

Today was a teacher work day at CHOICE so our regular trio had a chance to play around. Before our round of golf, we posed for some pictures that my mom wanted to take. We walked down into the creek bed and balanced on rocks in the middle of the stream.  Eli got stuck in the splits in between two rocks and when Kaden and I tried to help him, both Kaden and Eli lost their balance and got their feet wet. I, however, was still standing on the rock. Today we found out the water shack between holes five and six was closed for winter so we had to have a mud fight on hole seven instead.  Today wasn't a great day for me score-wise as I scored a 44 or 46 and my middle irons were just not there. Hopefully I can improve on this next time.

Golfing on September 30th-by Kaden

At golfing on September 30th was a blast! Eli couldn't make it but Mason came along instead, this was Masons first time golfing so we took a little bit longer than normal. While golfing Dale brung his portable radio so we could listen to the Colorado Rockies play although we turned it off after a while, because of how bad they were playing. I hit a 55 and my goal is by the end of the year to get 40. It might take some time but by the end of the year, I will be pretty close to getting it.
After the end of golfing, we went to the clubhouse to watch football and got a Gatorade and chips. when we're leaving to go back home the worker behind the front desk tells us that it's one of the ladies birthdays and asks us if we want a piece of cake. When he cuts them he says"you guys look extra hungry" and plops a huge piece of cake on to each of our plates. Mason and Dale have to take some home to their families because it is so big and they can't finish it.  I finish mine though and then don't eat for the rest of the day because I'm so full. This was a great trip to Haystack and I look forward to the next time we go golfing.

On this cloudy Sunday afternoon, we had a chance to play nine holes. I was worried it was going to rain, but it didn't and we had a blast. We had a new guest, Mason, who had never been golfing before so we all had a couple good laughs.  The highlight was that all three of us hit over the pond on hole seven. When we got back to the clubhouse, we had our usual post game snack plus it was someone's birthday and he offered us all a big slice of chocolate cake. We couldn't resist and the slices were so big that we all ending some home to our families.
